Dubbing a video lets viewers hear it in their own language instead of reading subtitles. With Dubtitle the whole process takes a few steps and no technical setup.

## Before you start

- Have the video file ready, or the link to the video you want to dub.
- Decide on a target language. Dubtitle supports 29.
- If your video uses specialist terms, product names or acronyms, list how they should be translated. You can add them to a [translation glossary](/resources/ai-dubbing-glossary/).

## Step 1: Upload your video

Drag and drop the file, or paste a link. All major formats work, including MP4, MOV, AVI and MKV.

## Step 2: Choose the language

Pick the language you want to dub into. The AI reads the speech patterns and emotional context of the original so the dub follows the same rhythm.

## Step 3: Let the AI dub it

Processing usually takes between 2 and 10 minutes depending on length. Short videos under 5 minutes often finish in under 2.

## Step 4: Review in Studio

Auto-dubbing gets you most of the way. In Studio you can read the translated transcript, edit any line inline, adjust timing, and regenerate only the segments you changed. Everything else stays as it was.

## Step 5: Download and publish

Download the dubbed video and publish it wherever your audience is.

## Tips for better results

1. Start from clear audio with limited background noise.
2. Fix recurring terms once in a glossary instead of line by line.
3. Review the first minute carefully. It tells you whether your terminology is landing.
4. Use [voice cloning](/#features) so the dub still sounds like you.
